Buddybet offers a social network like no other, allowing you to enter into friendly handshake bets with your family, friends and colleagues.
To enhance your experience, you are able to post, comment, discuss, vote and debate, in a safe, friendly and respectful manner.
Buddybet has established its Community Guidelines to help you understand:
- what type of behaviour is inappropriate on our platform;
- what tools are available to you to reduce such behaviour; and
- how we respond to inappropriate behaviour.
Set out below is a high-level overview of the type of behaviour that is not permitted on our platform (whether in the form of a bet, comment, post, image, profile or otherwise).
Intentionally harassing, bullying, threatening, intimidating or abusing another person or group.
- Threatening Violence, Injury or Death
Participating in, encouraging, incentivising, glorifying, inciting or calling for violence or physical harm, injury or death against people, groups, places or animals.
Vilifying, humiliating, harassing, promoting identity-based attacks against, promoting hatred against or threatening violence against another person or group.
- Unlawful or Dangerous Acts
Participating in, encouraging, incentivising, glorifying, inciting or calling for conduct that:
- is unlawful;
- may result in harm, injury, illness or death to any person, group or animal;
- may result in damage to or loss of property; or
- otherwise presents any safety risk or could expose us to any liability to a third party.
- Sharing Personal Information
Sharing or threatening to share private, personal or confidential information about another person or group.
- Prohibited Transactions
Soliciting or facilitating monetary bets, illegal transactions, or prohibited goods and services.
- Abusing Reporting Tools
Using Buddybet’s reporting tools to spam, harass, bully, intimidate, abuse or create hostility against another person or group.
- Impersonation or other misleading conduct
Impersonating a person or group, other than yourself, or otherwise actin in a misleading and deceptive way (such as by suggesting that you have an affiliation or association that you do not have).
- Infringing Intellectual Property rights
Posting content that infringes copyright rights, trademarks or other rights of another person or group.
Sending unwanted or unsolicited material to another person or group.
- Sexual or Suggestive Content
Soliciting, sharing, threatening to share or encouraging the sharing of sexual or suggestive content.
Any other type of behaviour or activity which Buddybet, at its sole discretion, deems inappropriate.
Reporting inappropriate behaviour is the best way of bringing a breach of the Community Guidelines to our attention.
Within the Buddybet App, on iPhone and Android, you are able to notify us of inappropriate behaviour by:
- tapping , which will appear on the top right corner of each bet, comment, or post;
- selecting “Report” from the on-screen options;
- selecting the type of inappropriate behaviour you wish to report from the on-screen options;
- detailing reasons for making the report (*optional*); and
- selecting “Submit”.
Each report sent by you will remain anonymous, except where you are reporting a copyright or trademark infringement.
If you wish to report another account, you can do so by clicking into the relevant profile and tapping on the top right corner and following the same prompts as above.

We appreciate that reporting disturbing behaviour or content can be difficult for some and we encourage you to seek external help and/or support if required.
If you wish to block another account on Buddybet, you can do so.
An account that has been blocked by you, will not be able to detect, search, find or view your profile or our content. However, if you have an active or resulted bet with an account that you have blocked, the bet will remain be visible from within “My Bets”.
You can block another account by clicking into their profile and tapping “Block”.
If you wish to unblock an account, you can do so by clicking into their profile and tapping “Unblock”.
You should not submit content on Buddybet that you do not have the rights or authority to share. Doing so may expose you to liability.
Buddybet may use your content to operate its services and for broadcast, distribution, or publication.
Any ideas, suggestions and feedback you provide to us can be freely used by us.
We may, in our sole discretion, delete or remove your content at any time and for any reason.
Your use of any content that third parties post on Buddybet is at your own risk.

We respect the property of others and expect you to do the same.
If you believe that any content on Buddybet infringes your copyright rights, trade marks or any of your other rights, you can report it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you falsely report an infringement, you may be liable for costs and damages.
We will notify you if we remove content you have posted in response to an infringement report made by someone else.
If we suspect that our Community Guidelines have been disregarded, we, in our sole and absolute discretion, have a number of ways to enforce them. These include, but are not limited to:
- Asking you to stop engaging in certain conduct;
- Temporary or permanent suspension of your account;
- Removal of privileges from, or adding restrictions to, your account; and
- Removal of content.
